for the Holidays........
So I have a propane smoker. I do salmon and done whole chickens. Looking to do a turkey; about 15lber.
but the burner wont flow properly. Researched and kiinda looked into the problem.
then i came across Youtube video about smoking with a "green egg"" habachi(we have one)
Went and got a turkey hindquarter and 2 cornish game hens.
Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy!!!!
To smoke a whole turkey:
defrost in fridge for 3 days,
brine for 1 day,
smoke for 7-9 hours.
when done, wrap in foil and let rest for 20-30 min.
the last step is the hardest.

Re: for the Holidays........
I'll be smoking a turkey breast for the Holiday. I'll be using my electric smoker this year.
Think I'm gonna brine it too. I've never brined before, but I'll give it a shot.

I love those Green Eggs, my Brother uses his all the time and they are impressive. I will not be doing any of those things however since I will be just cooking for myself on Thursday. Might just go with pizza this year.
