I always thought, Les called Stanley Steamer when he needed his carpet cleaned.   

Was the black guy in the video REALLY steam cleaning that Leather Sofa?!?!?!!   :bom:    

Nice video and I like the motto (Difference is in the detail). Sounds like a military man to me

Though it may have looked like it was leather in the video, the sofa was upholstered. The black guy cleaning the sofa is Rodney Ware. He owns the business. He's a really nice guy and a hard-worker.

As far as I know, Rodney doesn't have any military experience. He's a fireman. Having military experience myself, I like the motto, as well.

This video was made at Rodney's house. Les is pretending to be the homeowner.

We used two different cameras to shoot the video. Les helped me with some of the shots while I was running the other camera and also helped me with the set-up and take down of lighting equipment, etc.

Ever since being in NYC right after 9/11, I consider all firemen to be in the same high class as military men....hope he keeps doing well.

As for the video, yup, nicely done. It should make the phone ring.

Hey thanks!   .....Is there really a problem with calling a black guy a black guy, I guess for some there is, and usually according to them should be should be refereed to as African-American?? I could think of much worse things to worry about, don't take $hit so seriously.     

Doesn't seem to be a problem for my friends, matter of fact, it was a Black and Asian friends of mine who gave me the nick-name "Davey Cracker".    Dave, the Asian friend was given the nick-name "Asian Dave', the other Dave just remained "Dave"........made it much easier to know who was being talked to.    Ed, the black guy just remained Ed, because he was the only Ed is our group of friends.  

Don't mean to hijack a thread, my personal opinion is this, if the guy in the video is asian, or mexican, or white, not knowing his name, some people would've refer to him as the asian guy or the mexican guy or the white guy, would anyone be offended ? I can almost guarantee you that the answer is no, they won't, I just think the whole race thing is a little bit exaggerated. Heck I kept seeing TV news refer to Obama as the first black president, and one of my brother in law is black and I refer him as my black brother in law and we have a good laugh about it, lol.
Just my opinion which I believe I'm entitle to, have a great sunday everyone :-)

Guaranty Joe Eco won't be back for awhile. He is a lurking drifter, and that's the kinda stuff they do. I just think the black thing is so stupid.

Yep, eco seems to be the stir the pot 'n run kind huh........or maybe it's he only graces us with his presence when he feels we are deserving.

How in the world did we end up converting this to a race thread?

I never understood the whole race thing anyway, after all, we are all made of several ethnic backgrounds. Take my family for example.

My Father is 1/2 English, 1/8 Scot, 1/8 Irish, and the rest German and my Mother was just half drunk.

Seems you can thank ecco 'here yesterday gone for a month' joe (it is what it is) for the turn into a race/color thread.  :geek:
