Window cleaners can have fun too.
And here I thought window cleaning stuff was inexpensive. This 75 foot Reach It carbon fiber water fed pole retails for over 4k
You notice window cleaners are you and slim and carpet cleaners are old and overweight

Don't choke man unless you know how to do the heimleck maneuver on yourself. We would like to see you in Vegas this year

Lol.
I wouldn't waste money on a fiberglass pole.
Hand tools are cheap in comparison to WFP. The reach it mini with 45 foot of reach is plenty for most 2-3 story jobs.

Ok, this gets a little bit more interesting, if you can get $ 10 - $ 15 per pane and it only takes a few minutes to clean, seems like there's money to be made, what are the risks ? Breaking the windows with the stick ? Or that's not possible ?

The risk? Only big one I know of is you tap your pole on a high voltage power-line, and it desecrates everything but the boots your wearing.
No joke, it happened here awhile back........the guy looked like charcoal, and only his shoes were left.
I wouldn't think that would be an issue if using a Fglass or Cfiber pole tho??

Re: Window cleaners can have fun too.
my guys been doing window cleaning for a very long time and he doesnt think much of the water fed poles.
he says you just cant do a quality job with them and really wipe the sills, get the scum off if the windows are bad, and squeegee them.
might just be his opinion but it makes sense to me, your wiping the window from 20ft down on the ground so it would be tough to see it up close and make sure you dont miss anything
$10-15 is a lot Dp, I think most are around $5-8 which still adds up very quick

I don't charge that much.
I'm generally 4 bucks each side or 8 bucks in and out, on a normal shaped/sized window. It adds up because people don't realize how many windows they really have.
Risks?
Breaking a window or cracking it. Scratching it. Electrocution (even with a WFP it can happen). Damage to stuff in and out of the house (accidents).
It's not a risk free thing. WFP is only good outside a house. You still need to clean traditionally inside or use a set up with MF pads made for interior cleaning.
Even where I charge, I average 100+ an hour. WFP will make you twice as fast outside, since it cuts out detailing windows, the need for ladders (and the accidents that can happen using them), and allows you to clean the whole window without using tons of towels.

Re: Window cleaners can have fun too.
I guess if your going to use a 75 footer your going to charge according hence the cost of that pole? At least you don't have to climb a ladder
Re: Window cleaners can have fun too.
Besides the fact a 75 foot pole is pretty unwieldy. A 30 foot pole is hard to use.
Guys that are buying those 75 foot poles are using them for commercial work and are in big cities where there is much work for them.
Its like buying one of those expensive machines for commercial encap. Guys that are buying those have lots of commercial carpet to clean. Small town guys like me can't afford to invest in them because there isn't enough work to justify the expense.
