I always use Mobil 1 full synthetic for all my vehicles and truckmounts, for my truckmounts I always change them every 100 hours, I heard a while back from someone that has lots of experience in equipments maintenance that in the winter you can go as far as 150 hours with full synthetic because the motor runs a lot cooler in the winter, what do you guys think ?

Why break the routine of when you change your oils. For Kohler engine I put 10w40 in the summer and 10w30 in the winter. But I've seen several  references to the hours of run time on engines general rule of thumb that I've seen is for every hour of run time is equal to 70 miles. Now with synthetic oils they say 7000 to 7500 miles change the oil. So 70 x100 = 7000 now we all know that you never get the oil changed right on the 100 hr mark so that gives you a 500 mile buffer. But 500 hrs or 3500 miles to save a few dollars your choice.

I don't believe in extended oil change intervals....never did. I often discover other items that need servicing when I change the oil, so I prefer to do it at shorter intervals.

Monthly in the Van
Every 3 months in the TM

Yes, every 3 months for blower and pump.

It is over-kill, but oil isn't that expensive really when you compare it to other things in this industry. I hate breakdowns and frequent servicing makes me feel more confident in my gear.

The Butler turned 10,000 hours this year on the original blower and pump, although the pump has been rebuilt once. I think things have worked out.

I've gotten in the habit of changing my TM eng. oil every 50-100 hours.........and I think prob why I may have gotten 10k hrs out of my last engine.

I can't say I'm as frequent on the vans oil though.

You will run cooler with a synthetic. Mobile 1 is as good as any. I change the van about every month or a little longer depending on time. the equipment is as stated in the manual.
