Came out great! It was an empty house where the 300 lb gentleman had had a heart attack. Real messy, had never been cleaned, mopped or vacuumed since he moved in, only room for improvement!
This is what I did.
1]weep then vacuum all debri
2. scrub with Bissell floor machine- used the medium stiff blue brush and diluted carpet prespray ( just like orek orbiter)
3. Rinsed with my tile tool- spin type old school MYTEE, 400 psiush ring attache
4. Dried with 2 air movers.
5. Applied Rejuvenate floor finish with Rubber maid spray equiped micro fiber mop( both available at Home Depot) 1 coat did it, dried in 20 minutes and looked close to new.

Good work D. I probably would have passed on using a spinner to rinse.

It was so trashed and dirty, I took a chance, it dried in 5 min. and left very little Moisture. How would you have rinsed it?

I would be more worried about a spinner leaving swirls on the finish as more than water recovery. I goes running that spinner at 400 psi isn't aa big. deal.
I will. Normally rinse with a glided wand at 250 psi and post pad dry with orbot. Or rinse with wet pad and dry with dry pad

I have no problem with the use of the spinner....maybe at 200 psi max, but it depends on the wood condition.

Remember that wood is 6% water unless neglected and dried out. A little water pressure will not hurt it any unless it was left puddled wet for so long that it swelled. I don't see anyone, but an idiot doing something like that.

I do like to buff them up with a wool pad under the orbot...just like waxing a car.

Seems it would leave swirl marks like Mo says....I dont do wood but my sister wants me to do hers....I guess the right pad wont leave swirls because its so fine??

The problem is the spinners of today the manufactures are saying that you need a minimum of 600 PSI in order for the spindle to spin. I would hate to see a newbie run a spinner on wood at 800 psi.

Wow, you guys are brave ! I wouldn't rinse with equipment, I would rinse with dampened mop a few times, I don't mess around with wood floors, and charge accordingly.

I wouldn't use pressured water either, but that's just me, after damaging some of my own flooring doing it that way.

I can see it being okay,   still risky,   but only if the floors are in decent condition and a good amount of base coat left.

If they are old and not much coating left then it could blast straight into the wood,   usually though if they are in that condition then you wouldnt be cleaning but full sanding and re finishing anyways

I usually just spin pads but we dont do a ton of wood floors.

I've seen some wood cleaning machines that weren't crazy expensive but I've never done any wood floors. Something I might look into in the spring as I see a lot of them being installed.

Like I said it was trashed so I took a chance. The spinner on the tile tool did spin at 400 psi. I am going to try different low volume jets and try 200 psi. If I can get it to spin at that psi I may be on to a new technique- you've got to take a chance sometimes to learn new things. Mo, I am surprised that the glided wand didn't leave scratch marks on the finish- even though it's teflon, seems risky. The tile tool recovered 99% of it's solution and dried super quick, surprisingly. I used this rejuvinate product from Home depot http://www.rejuvenateproducts.com/rejuvenate-floor-restorer.html. Worked real well only used 20 oz for about 600 s.f. I did take pics, it's hard to see with the shine. I will see if I can post them up.

Be careful determining between real wood and pergo / laminate / bamboo, those I believe can't be buffed ? Also finish won't stick to them right ?

I guess theirs a risk there too D. But is glides real well with the water your spraying down almost like hydro planing and you're not applying pressure like you would on carpet.

I would hate to have the spindle on the spinner come lose or wobble and leave some deep scratches on the wood. Just trying to scare ya Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy
