Scheduling tablet
Anyone use ipad mini 4 ? If not what do you use for scheduling and how do you like them ?
I used to use samsung galaxy tab, just switched to ipad mini 2 just to try apple product and it's been great, making me considering of getting ipad mini 4.

Re: Scheduling tablet
I'm shopping for that very thing now. I don't have the schedule you do so I can still get by with a daily planner, but I want to get a tablet-sized device to be more organized going into Spring.
Right now, I am leaning towards a small laptop instead of a tablet and the Apples are leading in that arena due to their smaller size.
I guess I like the size of a tablet, but prefer a traditional keyboard as well, so the Mac book is what I am thinking.

Re: Scheduling tablet
I can't remember what tablet it was but it has a virtual keyboard, kind of like hologram, it may even just an app ? Nonetheless it was pretty cool.

Re: Scheduling tablet
I'm a sucker for actual keys. My Droid still has a slide-out keyboard and I hate to get rid of it, but it is pretty beat up. I'm not sure I would adapt to a virtual board.
Re: Scheduling tablet
Im really needing to bring myself up to speed in this area!...currently I have a monthly planner that lays across my desk and this is all I use....It kills me because I take my own calls and when Im out in the field I cant always remember the days and times I have blocked out for scheduled jobs....Ive always been good at it when my wife worked for me and kept it organized...not so much now. A big problem for me is using a device ...I thought I was going to be doing good to use the planner my insurance company gave me thats hand size. I find myself back at the desk......honestly Ive taken screen shots of my planner before leaving out to clean and play secretary.
I find it hard to take the time to enter it into a electronic device while on the phone and doing it afterwards just doesnt work.....Like Rob, if I had a keypad that may help.

Re: Scheduling tablet
Maybe a device with voice recognition so that you could just dictate to it as you take the phone call? That would be pretty damn cool.
Re: Scheduling tablet

Re: Scheduling tablet
when we were using service monster we used tablets because the data fields are so tiny.
tablets are retired now and we used galaxy note 5s and house call.
were about 5 months I think into using the HCP, and I still cant say enough good things about it.. we get feedback from customers about 3-4 times per week praising the prep email, and the "im on the way" texts/emails also the auto confirmation that their job has been scheduled.
1 guys even said its better than what ever comcast uses for their techs to come out

Re: Scheduling tablet
I checked out www.setmore.com last night and Im toying with the free version to see if I like it....for $25 a month or $199 a year you can get the premium upgrade and it does the text reminder appointments etc....Im trying to see if it will text me my up coming appointments. I like the PC version over my current desk top planner.

I have to get with the program when it comes to scheduling. Still using Google drive and inputtinf everything into excel. AC has been praising HCPnand he has used SM sonI mayntake his recommendation
Re: Scheduling tablet
I love the idea behind HCP, but I don't know if that Galaxy is my device. At least half of the issue is settled for me.
Re: Scheduling tablet
What costs are involved with HCP....my problem is im not busy enough to get to involved with an agreement with someone yet...nor cost.
