240v 30 amp heater inside your vehicle? oh yes
what a difference from 1500 watt stuff!
I plug the area around the cord with spotter towels
nice and toasty warm in there! -7c outside right now and checking in on the heater for an hour its only turning on twice for a couple min each time.

Re: 240v 30 amp heater inside your vehicle? oh yes
they are $60-100 usually
no didnt run it last year because it was in a shop
hard to compare because I re insulated my vehicle as well. r21 on the roof and r13 on the walls and around r10-14 on the floor
I did years ago use that heated inside a 20x24 garage with 2x4 walls( r13) with my old tm

I have never thought of that despite having one hanging in my garage. That is some serious heat and probably doesn't cost much more than a couple of oil-filled radiator heaters that many of us are using.
Keep us updated on that idea as winter progresses, could be the way to go....moving to Tampa would work better, of course.

l was thinking the same thing:!:MikeW wrote:Wow, whats all that white stuff.
Cold winter day about 8c (46 f) and no snow, might get a couple of frosts over winter but that's about it.
You can cook your truckmount in summer if you don't have good ventilation.
Hot summers day 44c (111 f). Did have a 47c (116.6 f) a few years back. Luckily on a saturday so l only was working the morning. Hottest day l had ever faced. Half our state caught on fire that day and many people lost their lives. Very sad day.

Lol Ya I've never been in humid heat either only dry caLivonia and Arizona heat. Az was so hot it melts your windshield wipers! I was still able to go out hiking in the 115 f heat. After a couple weeks it really wasn't that bad. One thing that does suck is not being able to have a garden of any sorts.. learned that the hard way. I suppose an indoor garden would work.
Any who I am sure I would be sweating like crazy in Florida, esp. Doing our job!

When it gets in the 50's here I'm looking for my thermals, and jacket............and 40's sometimes in the mornings, I have to start my van and run the heater for 10 min before I can get in and drive to a job.
And if it's raining hard, I'm praying the customer calls and reschedules, and here most of you guys are working in the snow with temps close to ZERO sometimes!
