Wrong Oil?

Wrong Oil?
I spent the day changing all the oils in my machines, but when I changed the oil in my Tuthill blower on the butler unit, I realized a mistake. I had been using non-detergent 40 wt oil in there for years, but I ordered the synthetic oil for it from butler last winter.
After reading the owner's manual, it shows the synthetic as being for units newer than 2004 with the old 40 wt for older units. My unit is the older one and now I am trying to decide if I should drain the synthetic and replace with dino oil.
The synthetic is quite expensive so I don't want to drain it out and waste it if I don't need to. I just don't know if I have to at this point. I can't find anything online with Pneulube regarding backward compatibility, so I am just not certain right now.
Anyone know the answer?

Re: Wrong Oil?
I would leave it myself. The synthetic oil has no detergent in it. Non detergent is full of paraffin or wax. Mobil 1 synthetic 0w40 has the same iso 100 rating as pneulube

Re: Wrong Oil?
How about blower greasing? I have the one bearing side that I have to grease. I chose to use the LUCAS Extra Heavy duty grease in stead of the blue synthetic stuff that costs a ton of money. Love LUCAS products- have not let me down yet. Same specs, better performance and 1/4 the price.
Re: Wrong Oil?
Most of the blower manufacturer recommend high temp marine grease.

Re: Wrong Oil?
For the record, Butler is in agreement with ACE....synthetic oil is fine in the older Butler blowers as well.
