Re: check this out
Gee, Mo, someone beat you to it....you should sue them.
Interesting....looks very heavy, but interesting. I don't see any reason for the prespray reel, I would prefer to just feed through the brushes for encap cleaning.
Really, it is just a Duplex or encap machine with a much larger water reservoir. I would sure give it a try, but my guess is that the weight would be the biggest problem. Can you imagine getting that up a flight of stairs?
Any idea of the cost?

Re: check this out
I can't imagine the CRB machine itself is much heavier then any other say 15inch CRB already out there so carrying that upstairs shouldn't be much of a problem considering a lot of guys already carry 175 rotaries weighing 100pounds up stairs already as for the cart as long as no water in it shouldn't be that heavy at all, although because of it how it is built it would be orkward, but one could just leave that part of it downstairs as it comes with a 100ft solution hose. I called them, they are in California, MSRP for complete system is $5495 although I was told by lady i spoke to that the sales rep can discount that some, I will report back once I speak to the sales rep who she is having call me

Re: check this out
I have never seen that set-up before so they must be a new product. If that is true, I would push hard for a low-ball price. Like every new start-up, they need the exposure more than anything right now.
Re: check this out
Well the've been around for at least three years that i know of, thats when I first stumbled across their website. So I have no idea as to how long they have actually been around, gotta admit though it is a pretty cool set up, but like everything else in this industry it is a bit pricey.

Re: check this out
My feelings exactly.....very interesting, but pricey. Now if I was able to try one out first, that would be a different matter entirely, but spending that much coin off a sales call or video would scare me.
Maybe they can offer you a trial period?

Re: check this out
I agree spending that much coin off a sales call or video is a little scary to me as well. I would almost be willing to fly out there and check one out in person if a good cheap airfare could be found, wanna go with me, maybe we could get a great deal if we both bought one and promised to promote them on all the different forums

Re: check this out
It is located in Garden Grove, CA so there are some people here capable of investigating this gizmo. I wouldn't fly out there just for that, but if you were planning a short vacation, you could probably get a tax break out of it.
Re: check this out
Sounds like we need to get someone out there to go check this thing out and report back with a good honest opinion, do you know anyone who would do this

Re: check this out
If you really need a straight encap machine I would just buy CRB that s less expensive and add a a 25 foot solution hose to your sprayer.
If you thought he vario didn't do a good job at cleaning residential carpet the CRB would be worse

Re: check this out
I actually already have a 15inch CRB that I got from excellent supply, I have used it on both commercial and residential and it does a great job, "BUT" it depends on the type of carpet, Thats why i also have a 175 rotary with solution tank and carpet brush along with pad driver and various pads/bonetts depending on the type of carpet one will be better then the other. I also like to use my CRB for HWE as well on all the nasties it get, but i have to pre spray 1st then scrub/agitate with the CRB. The thing I like about that little moe system is you can do both spray and scrub/agitate at the same time and having 16 gal solution tank is awesome plus comes with 100ft solution hose and 150psi pump which is plenty for spraying down the pre spray of your choice, I like that it has the built in kick stand instead of the separate caddy thingie I have now its a pain to have to strap and unstrap all the time. It also comes with a pre-sprayer attachment if you wanted to pre-spray, plus that cart system is great as it holds everything allowing you to bring it all in on one trip. Now i know a lot of times I will encounter stairs and that cart is not stair friendly at all so i would have to take the CRB off the cart and hand carry it up which is what i have to do now anyway, the cart, as long as there is no water in the tank is not heavy at all but still would be awkward, but as i always bring a helper along i se no problem there. sorry this was so long

Re: check this out
Actually since this little moe system comes with a 100ft solution line i would not even have to bring the cart part of it inside a home, as it is now i park my portable extractor on the porch and 90% of the time 50ft of hose is all i need, when i do need more hose usually another15ft section of hose is all i need, so aim still under 100ft.

Re: check this out
Dang Kevin you have a lot of tools in the tool box. I say spend the 6 grand on the TM and just connect the solution line to your CRB and Bam there's your little Moe.

Re: check this out
You could rig up your crb to do the same thing; for a lot less. 16gl tank is over kill.
AND don't go by what a video shows. I bought a duplex a few years ago. Watched every video I could find. Results looked good. Found a used one for a good price, used it twice(what a waste).

Re: check this out
I almost bought a Duplex as well based on the videos....they made a great sales pitch. No good, huh?
Re: check this out
Mo wrote:Is a duplex a CRB?
It is a CRB design with a solution tank that feeds between the brushes, if I remember that correctly. They made a nice special usage CRB for cleaning escalators and became well known for that.
Re: check this out
I've seen those, rotowash and duplex are the two companies i believe

Re: check this out
Haven't seen one up close, but I do think there is a threshold where the practicality of portable ends and a the TM begins. Spending over $13,000 on a portable is definitely above that threshold to me.
You can get somebody's back up van / TM for that.

Re: check this out
They sell the machine itself for $2700, but then they do have different package deals where they include other items with it for more money of course, but the machine itself is $2700
