Let's put it this way, and before I go any further, I need to clarify that I'm not encouraging you to buy Orbot, I'm simply giving you my opinion on a few Mytee products I have purchased in the past, put it this way, I would rather buy a used prochem products rather than a new Mytee products, if the used Prochem products price is still higher than new mytee products, I would find an even older Prochem products that has similar price point, because I know I can do a better quality job with it even though I might eventually have to spend some time repairing the old thing. That's just me.
You can buy whatever you want to buy, whatever float your boat bud Very Happy

It appears you guys don't like Mytee and that is ok, I won't hold it against you LOL. They are not the best, I know that. In the years that i have been on the various boards (about 7yrs now) I think I can honestly say that i think there are more people that like them then don't like them, I can only speak of my personal experience of their extractors and the vac booster i have which have served me well since my 1st one back in 2010.
I cannot however comment on any of their other products since i've not owned them

Here are my observations of the Vibe and eco-17 based solely on looking at on line pics, I have not seen either of these machines live and in person.

They both have two spray jets, I like the handle on the vibe where the spray jets are, speaking of handles the vibe has no levers of any kind on its handles that you would be holding onto during operation and more importantly while pulling up a set of stairs which would allow you to have a good firm grip, the mytee would be a little more difficult due to those levers on the upper handle.

I like the fact that the wheels on the vibe are further apart then on the mytee, i think this would come into play while pulling up stairs, having the wheels further apart would make it more stable where as having the wheels to close a machine may want to tilt, fall lean whatever to one side, the vibe has a bigger tank 4.75 compared to just 4.0gal..

Although the opening on the mytee tank looks like it has a wider opening making it easier to pour in chems from lets say a 5gal bucket, the mytee also has the hose that comes out of the tank to attach to a sink for filling, I cannot tell from the vibe pics if it has that as well.
The mytee has a 100 psi pump the vibe has a 90psi pump, not that 10 psi would make much of a difference anyway.

The mytee allows for gravity feed as well as spay, the vibe does not.

I like the placement of the pump on the vibe better as it is not on the handle under the tank. It is better protected where orbot has placed it.
So just a few things there to think about.

Excellent observations Kevin, you just brought back a lot of memories of me pulling my Rx-20 up all those stairs in a retirement home. Wheels need to be wide apart or else the machine is difficult to control.

I do like a gravity feed tank....that would be a definite benefit if I were shopping, so that you could still operate if the pump failed.

I haven't seen the prices, but unless the Orbot was twice the price, it would still be my choice. You are an encap guy, so this is your truckmount and it will be your money maker.....choose reliability and ergonomics over price and you will likely have the right answer.

I use my original orbot just on tile and hard floors these days, but after all these years, it still gets the job done...especially when flipping the handles up. It is a heavy SOB though, so take that into account as lifting it in/out of a van all day would certainly get tiring fast.

That reminds me, do they still accept added weights on either of them or do the jets block that option? I need to go back and watch the videos as that could be a deal breaker as it would lose its benefit on hard surfaces if they don't.

I just talked myself into this.....the Orbot still allows the weights which is vital if you plan on using this machine on tile or stone. I don't see any provisions for weights on the Mytee product.

So, if you plan on using this machine for tile and stone.....the Orbot wins. If you are just going to use it on carpets, either one would work.

You are correct the new vibe does accept the same weight kit as the sprayborg, without weight kit the new vibe is 95pounds, without weight kit mytee eco-17 is 135 pounds and it does not have a weight kit but at 135 pounds don't think you would need one anyway, I was just in an auction for the new vibe and I won so I will pay only $2020 and this is what i will get as part of an introductory offer http://orbotusa.com/vibespecialoffer/
Orbot Vibe Machine, 40lb Weight Kit, Scrub Brush, 1 Gallon of Environ, 5x SuperZorb Pads, 2x AgiClean Pads, AwkaStrip Pad, UltraLift Pad and FREE SHIPPING!

Total Package Retail Price = $3,327
Your Cost = $2,190

Total Savings = $1,137

But since I won the auction on mikey's board I will only pay $2020

That is a fine deal right there....congrats!Wine

I never used their solution, but I do like the AgiClean and SuperZorbs and use them often. I still have the AwkaStrip pad after all these years, but obviously didn't use it very often.

You did very well, the patience paid off....literally. Very Happy

I would love to see it in action by a cleaner instead of salesman Kevin! The waiting is always the worst part of buying new equipment.

I hope so as well Kevin, it was a great deal, but still not cheap. I still remember buying my rx-20 years ago based on all the board hype and struggled with it for awhile as it over-wet everything. I eventually got it worked out, but it still never lived up to hype.

Now that I think about it, I should try and sell that unit off. I don't clean grease pits any more and don't ever plan to again.

I ordered the Vibe back in the middle of January and I'm patiently waiting on it to come in. I too had a struggle between the two but went with the Vibe because of their track record and specializing in this type of machine. Hope my decision and gut instinct pays off.

I think you guys both made a very solid decision. When equipment is less than a couple of hundred bucks, we buy it and never think much about it.....a sprayer comes to mind, but when they are in the thousands, we agonize over it.

In the end, we generally make the right decision and wonder why we didn't do it sooner. Looking forward to see the reviews.

Larry you've been waiting a month and a half for this machine? WTH Are these built to order now.

Im glad to see the costs of these OP machines more reasonable now.

In the past HOS and CCSOP OP machines costs were bordering on the ridiculous.

So right Mo, when I purchased mine I could have bought a nice used car for that amount. That was a long time ago and it is still running, so maybe it was better than a used car?

Battery powered? That would not interest me at all. I have yet to own a battery powered tool where the battery lasted more than a year before it had to be replaced....often at a price close to the tool itself.

I must have a dozen rechargeable drills in my garage that are useless now.

I just saw a YouTube video of another cleaner that just received his order. Looked like they delivered a refrigerator on a pallet at first so be prepared by the size of the packaging.

The actual machine looked really good. They definitely made some upgrades to it from my old Orbot....you will be happy with the decision.
