Re: everest throddle control
Yup, my mechanic couldn't believe my oxygen sensor for my everest was $ 160 I think ? He said that's the biggest rip off, I said "welcome to carpet cleaning world"

Re: everest throddle control
Not just the carpet industry.
Before I left the Marines, I was the Company NBC (Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Warfare) Chief. When I took over the position I ordered new supplies to outfit some bio-sampling kits for field surveys. Nothing special, just some media tubes, cotton swabs, glass slides, and forceps.
Division told me that the budget didn't allow for full kit replacements as the fiscal year was ending so I instructed them to send me all they could under the budget allowance.
Three days later, I received single box the size of a wrist watch. It even opened up like a jewelry box and inside resting on the red crushed velour felt was a single surgical steel set of forceps....aka tweezers for the sum of $273.
I could have filled 3 full kits with that amount if they would have let me shop at Walgreens, but instead, I was going to war with a set of presentation tweezers in a velour jewelry box.
I had it locked up in the safe...too valuable to lose.
