Nice looking set-up, commercial floor care can be a tough business. Did he just not like the business or did it struggle?

Looks like some nice stuff, but I think he's going to have to be willing to part with it for much less than 30k.......just going to have to get over that amount he spent.

There's much better deals out there and people know it.

A friend of a friend just bought a 2001 chevy van in good cond with a very nice steemway with 3000 hrs on it, also in great cond., and walked away with it all for $3700!.......talk bout a deal! cheers

$3700? That is a steal, those steamway units are pretty solid.

As for the trailer, it does look like it was one of those franchise deals like "The Master's Touch" system. They come with some nice suff and a cool looking trailer, but the buy-in is pretty steep for someone starting out.

If you lived in a dense commercial area that wasn't already saturated, it would be worth close to that price....22k - 25k might be closer. Still, it would make a nice deal for the right person.

And I didn't bring that up to De-value this trailer setup, but rather to simply say deals are out there. Smile

I just think regardless of amount invested, 20k for this setup used would be really pushin' it! Smile

I actually saw that ad, I think he put an ad in LA's Craigslist, I seriously doubt that it was a 52 k investment, machine alone is no more than 20 k, if anything it's 30 k investments max, davey is right, 20 k is pushing it, if I'm in the market for that machine, I would offer him 17.5 k and that's it ! LOL Razz

Mixed opinions exist at both extremes. Great heat, some found them really reliable and some a nightmare. I really like these units for what they are, but you can them cheaper in this area...often less than 3k.
