TI Challenger Swivel Wand !!
I got this wand from Tony yesterday and will be testing it out in the next few days, will keep you guys updated.
I'm not a big fan of swivel wand and always skeptical of it due to the movement, but it actually has some resistance, so we'll see how it goes, looks solid, it is heavier than my pmf ti but it's about the same weight of my prochem ti, I wish it's closer to my pmf ti but we'll see how it performs tomorrow.

Re: TI Challenger Swivel Wand !!
just read there is a new cal tools swivel wand design coming out soon, saw a few pics and it looked pretty nice
Re: TI Challenger Swivel Wand !!
Lol, I know you're just kidding but just to clarify, I didn't buy it YET, Tony just wanted me to test it out and give an honest reviews about it.
I actually compared it with Mytee Bentley at the expo and honestly I wouldn't even test the Bentley cause the swivel is way too loose, I just know it would wobble all over the place when used. I'm still skeptical about this Dev Pro but I'm willing to give it a shot, I might make a video of it. Stay tuned
Actually this might be that new one and not the Dev pro, I'm not sure, lol.

This is Tony's new wand design TI CHALLENGER, There is no DEV about it.
It looks pretty clean, looking forward to hearing how it works out.

Good to hear from you again Tom, sorry you weren't able to make Vegas. I did go looking for you though.
It is interesting how many swivel wands are hitting the market these days. When Mytee sent theirs out, the interest wasn't very high. I guess times change.

Interesting, and I'm looking forward to hearing about it too.........but did already hear it still has that excess baggage that adds almost a pound of weight.
I might just be able to get my hands on it also.

Re: TI Challenger Swivel Wand !!
I have taken a break from most of the forums, including this one. I have had several people tell me about the new wand of Tony's and I am happy for him.
Looks like he has some got some good input on his wand, Hopefully he will do the right thing and use his own name to market it.
I started focusing on my carpet cleaning biz a little more this year as much as possible, to many new guys coming up, So I gotta focus a little bit more on it right now.
Have some projects were working on also but pretty much just laying low and watching how things pan out.

Sometimes you have to slow the pace down....I understand completely.
Re: TI Challenger Swivel Wand !!
Yeah Tom, I was looking for you as well, like went around every isle 3 freaking times and couldn't find your booth, asked one of the reps and they said you cancelled last minute
I was eager to see your devastator filter.
First of all I'm sorry about the wrong name of the wand, I didn't know any better, so if Mo can change the title of this thread that would be great.
Mo I will take picture and post it in a day or two.

So I was looking for this thread and couldn't find it, I found out why, someone misspelled challenger
Could someone fix it please ? Or upgrade my user status to admin so I can change it ? Lol Â
Sorry DP that was me. Ill change that.
Tony called yesterday but didn't leave a message he probably wants to do a Cleaners Lounge Loaner with that Challenger swivel wand

Re: TI Challenger Swivel Wand !!
You guys are killing me with all these swivels....I ended up dusting off my original Bentely wand again. That loose swivel did flop around, but not on the carpet and it steered quite well. It just had poor manifolds and the wand mounted the trigger too far forward.
Not sure if I really want another swivel wand, but if they had good recovery and a decent manifold, I wouldn't rule it out either.

Dave, I asked Tony about letting you test the wand next and he said ok, so let's plan lunch early next week to get the wand from me.
Great, I'm eager to try a swivel wand......as I never used one before........
But yeah, I can see where a floppy swivel would be annoying, at best.
Also, regarding Rob's post about that Bentley "manifold", the one I saw was just nothing more than a bunch of brass fittings....... That looked like some you or I would come up with late night in the garage, so you could get a job done the next morning.
Were they all like that, or did I see some kind of pre-production, home make looking model?

Re: TI Challenger Swivel Wand !!
There is a definite market for better manifold designs. I like the shear kit manifolds, but they don't work with all wands and you really shouldn't have to modify a new wand to get a decent manifold.
.....that just gave me an idea. To the drawing board Batman.

Re: TI Challenger Swivel Wand !!
The Bentley's appearance as I see in the expo is not appealing to me at all, and by any means I'm not bias at all in my review, if we compare challenger vs Bentley by appearance only.
By performance I would never be able to give an honest review because I don't think Mytee would ever give a loaner for a purpose of honest review
I'm not even sure I'm going to like a swivel wand as I never used one, we'll see if that will change or not.

Re: TI Challenger Swivel Wand !!
The first generation bentley had good recovery, so unless they screwed something up, it should be good in that category.
As for looks, unless one loved carbon fiber in the old wand...it was ugly too.

Re: TI Challenger Swivel Wand !!
I'm truly an amateur at this, so forgive me if the video quality is poor.
Preliminary review of this wand is it's great in corners, behind the door, under furnitures, etc, I guess that's the purpose of swivel wands huh ?
Downside so far according to Devid is it's hard on your wrist when you have to turn it to utilize the swivel function of the wand, keep in mind that we are using an everest hp 650, so suction is pretty much locked in to the carpets, with other equipments you may not experience this issues.
I want to make sure that I'm fair in giving my honest review.
The swivel is amazingly at perfect setting, not too floppy but it's easy to turn when you are cleaning.
I would highly recommend for you guys to try this wand, I talked to Mo yesterday and he gave permission to run a loaner for this wand, assuming Tony is still interested in doing the loaner ?
Dave will get the wand next, if you are interested in trying this out, please post here and let me know, after that I'll get in touch with Tony and find out further details, rules, etc.

Re: TI Challenger Swivel Wand !!
It looks pretty good although I couldn't see the manifold design. A lot of cleaners never went back once the tried a swivel wand, they can be a great wand.
I might be interested in trying it in a side-by-side with my Bentley.

Re: TI Challenger Swivel Wand !!
Hey DP what is the purpose of that nipple on one side of the manifold? You see it real good at the 34 second mark of the second video
Re: TI Challenger Swivel Wand !!
I knew someone would ask, lol, when I got it from Tony, there were 2 threaded holes on the right and left side of the head, one of them was covered by an Allen bolt that went far down the hole, I couldn't find the right size Allen bolt when I went to HD, so I got whatever I can find to fit in the hole, that was it, it didn't bump anything because the holes were up high on the head.
