Marijuana Cleaning
Looks like California just made your job harder Dp. My prediction of needing to expand our approaches to include the special odor and stain removals related to marijuana usage has become a new reality for cleaners in the state of California.
I hope you are ready for it.

Re: Marijuana Cleaning
Wouldn't give a dollar to do jobs like that.....
I was in the video store yesterday. Whole store smelled like someone spilled the bong water all over the floor. Store stunk SO bad. Come to find out, it was a group of three people that was a 40-50ish woman, and two millennials. I can only imagine what the home smells like. I sure would NOT want to find out.
I did laugh though about the Cali law. Pot might be legal, but it's still a fireable offense if your employer drug tests you. I guess it's good for those that are self employed and those who don't work and collect welfare.

Re: Marijuana Cleaning
It will also prevent one from purchasing a firearm....they might want to read that fine print before lighting up.
I have only run into a few customers and I will not be returning to those homes again in 2018. Just a mess in each case.

Having read the Bill Of Rights, and realizing this country was founded by "felons", I don't agree with disarming people that walk free outside of prison or institution walls.
I don't care for potheads or their way of life. I don't have a problem with them smoking dope, but I don't care to be around them either. Not into servicing people who are blatant pot smoking hippies either.
With my business, I have yet to run into anyone who is that type.

Re: Marijuana Cleaning
Anyone who gives a shit about their home is going to smoke weed or cigarettes in it. But their are going to be realtor, investors, and new home owners that are going fine and that problem remediated
Re: Marijuana Cleaning
Yes they will and somebody will have to address it. It wouldn't be me, but somebody will. The big problem is that it will be far more wide-spread in that area now.
Good Luck

Re: Marijuana Cleaning
Yup, I don't have a plan to tackle those jobs yet, but I'm sure I'll be able to learn how to clean it.
I agree, the law is very conflicting, those dispensaries can't even open a bank account at banks that have branches in other states, like local credit union that only operational in that state, I'm kinda in the border line when it comes to legalizing, I would say that I prefer it stays legal for medical only.

Re: Marijuana Cleaning
It isn't particularly difficult to clean it, but deodorizing is a another story and that really is where the need will be located.
The whole issue is just a mess no matter what side one takes and it is not going to get better....just too much money involved.

Re: Marijuana Cleaning
Weve done some grow house move outs , its pretty funny. It was legal under medical laws here to grow 15 plants per medical card but now that our state went legal the grow operations all have to be done in commercial facilities... so quite a few people had to shut down the residential grow ops.
Its funny when you start doing the carpet and the residue gets really strong smelling once wet, they walk all over the sticky icky grow room and then all over the house tracking the resin everywhere lol.
Im not against the law at all, its definitely not more destructive than someone with an alcohol problem.. alcohol is far more dangerous and kills many many people in the US every year. Plus its a colossal waste of tax payers $$$ to run around busting harmless hippies who just want to sit in their house and smoke a plant. Makes way more sense to allocate that money towards busting meth freaks, heroin, and drunk driving idiots
The taxes our state is bringing in from the industry is pretty insane, all going to schools, drug treatment facilities to help people with hard drug addicitons, etc Same with colorado.

Is that what their saying, or actually doing?? Cuz if their moving their lips; their lying.
Like money from Lottos would go to education? I heard 3-5% went to Ed.

My state is looking to legalize it too. Medicinal purpose first, but you know what comes after....
Speaking of tax money, here's a funny one for you. My state just raised taxes for roads. The fuel tax we pay just wasn't enough. They had to raise vehicle plate fees and fuel tax.
Yet the money we were paying before for road tax, goes in the general fund and little of it actually gets allocated to ROADS.

Re: Marijuana Cleaning
Same thing here with lotto funds gpong to schools, A Z is the worst when it comes to school funding
Re: Marijuana Cleaning
"The General fund" is their pork fund.
It never goes to what they say it is to go to! They divert it, re-adjust the % , then its pennies that actually go to what they promised!!
