Re: Tile spinner question
I agree high pressure is over rated. The heat does the work better with less water usage. Im in the same boat with my little giant.
Re: Tile spinner question
Agree with all, run mine around 600 psi. Let the chemicals do the work and the spinner do the flushing. Less stress on the machine, hoses, and grout that way.
Re: Tile spinner question
I usually clean tile at 800 psi anything more is not necessary. Whats the deal with the Little giant? Is 600 psi the max it will put out?
Re: Tile spinner question
You know all you have to do is change out the pressure relief valve. I think it's a $100 part. I think.

Re: Tile spinner question
I found that swapping to larger jets ( 0502 ) helped way more then running high psi.

Re: Tile spinner question
The standard copper model is rated to 600 psi. I have gone a tad bit over that but you dont wanna risk damaging that coil. Big bucks to replace.
Re: Tile spinner question
Little Giant offers an extreme high pressure model now that goes to 2200 psi. It is a different coil and the coil is $1075.
Milspec seemed to be having good luck with ozone water on tile as a cleaner. Don't know what pressure he was running though.

Ozone water dispensed at 50 psi....rinsed at 500 psi, but I could rinse lower. Just was too lazy to go back to the truck
Re: Tile spinner question
Ah just lower your flow jets, then run an electric pressure washer after the heater bet it doesn't blow up. Actually don't listen to me I don't want to be responsible for u getting hurt.

Well, it is water that has been infused with ozone gas (nanotechnology). The ozone gas is one of nature's strongest oxidizers and provides you with a solution that is both a mild degreaser and a powerful oxidizer. Best part is that it returns to plain old water after reaction time, so there is no residual and no toxic chems to deal with.
I often clean commercial bathrooms using just ozone water, a crb to scrub, and a spinner to rinse at only 300 psi. It sprays at less than 100 psi and without heat, yet cleans the tile and great quite well. It also does a fine job of deodorizing.
Problem for me is that it doesn't translate to the textile world at these low concentrations....reacts too fast to really penetrate. That is what disappointed me, but it still works well on hard surfaces...chemical free.
Re: Tile spinner question
Mil u ever try soaking and clawing a urine job with it?as far as I know if it stays cool it will be active for 24 hours... so why u say it reacts to fast?

Re: Tile spinner question
I haven't tried clawing with it....not a bad idea though. It would handle the odor almost instantly, but it wouldn't remove the stain at such a low concentration of ozone.
I did soak a few fiber pads in a feed tank with ozone water that were urine saturated from a horrible job. Odor was gone and the pads turned a little white, but the over-all appearance was still pretty bad.

Actually, no I don't. I will test it tomorrow and post the answer....good question.
Re: Tile spinner question
Answer to the riddle is 7.8 ph and I also noticed something else....this water will fizz more than any peroxide or bleach that I have ever used, but the reaction is done in about 5 seconds.
I had never really noticed the fizz-factor before when it was spraying over a large area, but when dispensed into a dixie cup...WOW. That is one powerful oxidizing action that is supposed to be 100 times faster than bleach.
I just wish it lasted longer on textiles....might have to go back to this process before giving up on textiles altogether. There still might be some magic left in this device.

ODIN wrote:are there any that work at lower PSI around 500.
my hx can go to 1000 psi but my little giant can only go 600
I would rather clean with heat than high psi with no heat
99% of the time I'm no higher than 800 psi. Ran my spinner as low as 450 psi and it worked fine. Get yourself some shorebest 2790 and let it do the heavy lifting.
Re: Tile spinner question
Way to bring back these old threads 2fresh.
For your guys that like Shorebest 2790, the price will be going up in April so stock up now. I didn't know they sold it by the 55 gallon drum. Ill see if I can find the email I received.

Economic News From Shore Products
"Unfortunately with rapidly rising raw material and packaging costs, in addition to escalating compliance and regulatory expenditures [GHS], we are forced to raise our prices effective April 1, 2015. Our last price increase was 3 years ago [April 12, 2012] and we've held prices as long as possible.
While we regret the necessity to raise prices, we are allowing you time to order material at old prices as long as it ships prior to April 1, 2015. We are confident that you will continue to be pleased with the performance of our products and the service we offer. As always, you are a valued part of our team and we thank you for your business!"
With that wonderful news, we are going to do something for this month for everyone. Our best selling product is 2790 as we all know. Most products are seeing a 5%-9% increase and 2790 will be closer to a 9% increase, (still a great value for what it is and its performance). This will effect gallons to drums. For those who are buying drums on a regular basis, it would be a good month to stock up at the old pricing. We will also take pre-orders for cases of gallons and do a last minute pallet order for our stock at the end of March. So if you pre-order by the end of month for delivery in April, we will set aside the inventory and be able to hold the price for that quantity and ship and bill at your convenience in April. Unfortunately, that will only happen for in-stock cases in Arizona. Drums must be ordered and shipped directly from factory by end of March. Price sheets will be available later this week and we will send out as requested. Please email any requests for price sheets to us at ken@wc-products.com.
