Re: Magic Wands Universal HX
Thanks for the input Tom. LP heat is the conclusion I'm coming to as well especially with the 18 HP briggs that I have.
I spoke to the Reliabilt guy yesterday he has been testing a new design for HXer's. He said that his 16 HP model is raising water temps 60-80 degrees with 40 degree incoming water. Its round 20-22" long 4 1/2 inches long vertical instal. Current price is $695.00 and anticipates an increase as the project moves along. He's 3 weeks out on orders.

Re: Magic Wands Universal HX
I spoke to Blue Baron in Florida. They do not sell replacement coils for little giants. I think ACE mentioned that. They have a patented design that is not your typical coiled design. Heavy gauge stainless steel, 3500 PSI rating, 18 inched long outside diameter is a little over 8 inches twice as round as the Reliabilt HX. He estimated a 150 to 170 percent increase with my 18 hp briggs with disclaimer of the various variables involved in this estimate. $995.00 plus shipping

Sounds like a great pre-heater for me in the winter....will have to check this one out.

What Tom is saying makes sense BUT how the heck Prochem gets 220 degrees temp out of their Blazer, that uses HX system ? I would take a look at the manual and see where they put their HX in that unit and place it in the same spot ?

It will get it there but it will drop like a rock in water, I have a Legend stock you can really drop the temps pretty quick.
Keeping the heat high is the problem

Re: Magic Wands Universal HX
Yeah that's what the guy at magic wand said wasn't confidant that it would sustain the heat
Re: Magic Wands Universal HX
It was a HX option.Mo wrote:I spoke to Blue Baron in Florida. They do not sell replacement coils for little giants. I think ACE mentioned that. Re: Magic Wands Universal HX
Pc blazer factory has a temp sensor that keeps temperature around 180 185. Now a blazer xl I don't think holds temperature very well. Blazer GT I would have to look into it.
